Harbor View Motel & Cottages

We stayed in an efficiency at Harbor View Motels & Cottages and the view was amazing, way better than the pictures. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our family. We loved the location. We had actually tried to find lodging in Bar Harbor first and I am so happy that we didn't. Southwest Harbor was less crowded but still had an adorable downtown in walking distance and was the same distance from everything in Acadia. We will be back if are in the area again!

After spending a couple nights in Bar Harbor, I was excited to explore the quiet side of the island. Southwest Harbor was lovely, and staying here was perfect. I had a room with a balcony view of the harbor, which was a great retreat to sit and relax after a long hike. Everything was so comfortable, nice and new. Had a full kitchen with everything I needed. Close walk to all the shops and restaurants, and close to the marina where I set out for a sailing tour one day. Great stay!

We stayed at Harbor View Motel & Cottages with our dog with plans to visit Acadia National Park and we had an amazing time! The rooms are clean and cozy, the beds are comfortable, and the property is peaceful with a beautiful view of the water. Since it's walking distance from the Main Street in town, we walked to go shopping and get ice cream. The property is less than a half hour from Acadia and Bar Harbor, which was very convenient for us. We had such a lovely stay overall and will definitely stay here again when we visit Southwest Harbor!

I stayed here for 5 nights back in October because the rates were a lot cheaper than Bar Harbor and away from the crowds. There is surprisingly a lot to do and see here on the Southwest Harbor. My stay here at Harbor View was great. The room, lodge and grounds were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Views of the harbor from this location also outstanding.

Great spot with fantastic views! Just stayed for one night. Very convenient to town and in a quieter part of the island. Stayed on the 3rd floor. Unit was clean and in good condition, although dated. But it was the perfect spot to lay my head for the night after exploring all day.
