Customer Reviews
Amber made our stay at the Hampton Inn Washington DC/White House truly exceptional, and she is a big reason this is an easy five-star review. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a genuine smile, warm energy, and the kind of professionalism you’d expect at a much more expensive hotel. She took the time to confirm our reservation details, offered thoughtful suggestions on nearby restaurants and attractions, and made sure we knew the quickest walking routes to the White House and National Mall, which are just steps from the property. Throughout our stay, Amber checked in with us, remembered our names, and consistently asked if there was anything else she could do to make our visit better. Whether it was arranging fresh towels, helping with a late check-out request, or answering q
We went to D.C. for the first time and we loved it! My main goal was to choose a hotel that had the following:|Walking distance to the White House.|Free breakfast.|A pool.|Washer & Dryer.|This hotel met all of those expectations! ||The staff were polite and professional and the check in process was smooth. |I asked for a room with a mini fridge because I read in the reviews that not all of the rooms come with a fridge. I'm happy to say that when they renovated they added a mini fridge to every room! ||The room was an average size hotel room with 2 queen beds. The beds were comfortable, the AC was nice and cold and the room was clean. We slept well the 3 nights we were there. No noise in the hallways. If I have to say a con it's that we did not have a good view out our windows. We were on t
It was an overall worthwhile and satisfactory experience. There was one incident though where I requested for a cab service to DCA on the night before I checked out. There was no reservation made. It’s quite disappointing but it nevertheless worked out for me since I had other means. But had I not, I would have thrown a fit! At the very least they should have reconfirmed with me at the time I checked out if I still needed the cab service. Apart from this, all else was great- the food choices for breakfast, even the coffee and tea options. Location was also great since it was quite near the White House and CVS. The room was also about right size for a single occupant, clean and with adequate amenities.
This place should’ve condemned. It’s a worn tired building with very old furnishings. Poor electrical outlets /usb availability. Mold everywhere in the bathroom. It’s a sad forgotten hotel. The elevator was very slow and rickety. The food for the free breakfast was completely inedible. The location is quite nice. It’s quiet . The bed was atrocious, like sleeping directly on the springs. The only positive thing I have to say about this hotel room is… it was out of the rain.
This hotel is excellent! I've stayed here a few times for work and always enjoy my experience. The area around the hotel is walkable with close restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Plus the breakfast that they offer is delicious! Literally every staff member that I ever interacted with at the hotel is friendly and helpful! I had two issues that the staff helped me resolve immediately. First, my room seemed to have an issue with the heating system. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately apologized for the issue and got me a new hotel room. Second, I left an item in my room and didn't realize until I was at the airport about to get on my flight home. I called the hotel and they helped me complete the necessary form which I did right before taking off. By the time I lande
