Hampton Inn Washington DC NoMa Union Station

I stayed only one night, but can state the hotel checked most of my preferences at a very affordable rate. First, I was allowed to check in a little early (just after 2pm) by a very friendly female receptionist whose name I cannot recall (she also checked me out the next morning with the same kind demeanor). The television was large, the room was clean, and the wall unit heater effectively heated the space. Breakfast began at a wonderfully early 6 am, and featured one of the freshest displays of cut fruit I have seen at a hotel. Also featured were golden pears and Yukon potatoes. Great hotel , very clean. The staff was so kind. The young lady and man who worked afternoon/night shift in the lobby on 12/29 DESERVE A RAISE ! They were so sweet and polite. Lots to do with walking distance to a few bars/restaurants. Easy to get an uber/lyft. Went to Echostage for a concert and it was extremely easy to get to/from (and safe/cheap too).

This is my second time in this hotel with my wife, very nice to be back there. The receptionists are very attentive. I thank everyone there for their attention. Great location. I stay at the hotel August 7th - 9th, 2025. Before we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful shuttle driver who picked us up from Union Station. ||We arrived at the hotel to the warm greeting of the hostess Maria who treated us as if there were a film crew filming us. I asked Maria are we being filmed for the hotel commercial. I asked this because she greeted us with a welcoming smile and professional demeanor. ||The second shift hostess who’s name I didn’t get, was just as friendly, warm and helpful as Maria. ||The hotel room was good, the bathroom was really nice and the breakfast was great. This experience was a 10/10.

I’m giving this place two stars because we got moved three times in one day. The first room we got had mold in the bathroom ceiling and we got keys to go to the room right below it. The second room, water handle was broke, and the water would not turn on unless you pushed the handle in. When it was on, it would not turn off. The handle just kept spinning. We called maintenance and they never came back within a good time frame so my friend and I left to go to a concert (we were in town to see Chris Brown and left because we didn’t want to be late for show). We came back to our hotel room door open! We made sure to close the door when we left and assume maintenance came back in because there was a large footprint on our white towel in the bathroom and a footprint by the front door (PS the fr
