Hampton Inn & Suites Waco-South

Location of this property is great, shopping, restaurants, cinema are all close by. Traveling solo I felt safe. The evening staff at the desk were wonderful and friendly. I went down for morning breakfast was a joy. It was your typical hotel help yourself. But what made it special was the lady who prepares all your offerings was a joy. She had the best attitude, smile on her face, playing the best music and she was singing along. Such a wonderful way to start off my day! In fact a gentleman walked up to her and I have never been serenaded during breakfast before, thank you. Hampton Inn management I hope you realize what a gem and asset you have in this lady, treat her right! She set the tone for my day and for that many thanks!

John was amazing to our team of 30 people plus. Came here for a softball tournament as a team. Yes the hotel is little outdated and needs some cosmetic work. It’s in a great easy location. We had zero issues for our long exhausting weekend of ball games. We even took over the lobby for adult fun and no one had an issue with it

We booked a room with two queen beds and the room was very spacious and well designed. It was easy to find, easy to get to. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and had a decent selection.

The staff is wonderful. The hotel needs some love. The carpet (all of it) is dirty and stained and needs to be replaced. The walls and woodwork need touching up. The furniture, especially in the breakfast area, needs to be cleaned. The room in which we stayed (210) is dark and missing furniture. The fitted sheets came loose from the mattress, because their pockets were too shallow.||I booked Hampton because I've found it to be a reliably comfortable. No doubt this hotel was nice and comfortable maybe 10 or 15 years ago, but it's tired now and in need of a serious refresh. I will stay at Hampton Inns again, but I'm going to be more aware of the condition of a particular location before automatically booking there.
