Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District

Parking is $35/night regardless if you get a good spot in their lot or if you have to park 2 blocks away in the embassy garage…it’s March and our room is excruciatingly hot and the lowest the cool on the AC can go pet management is 68 degrees. It’s not convenient and it’s not comfortable. I’ve been Hilton honors gold or platinum for the last 10 years and I’ll never stay here again. Yes I brought all of these issues up to management before posting this review.

This was me and my boyfriend’s first time in Savannah and this hotel was great! Room was clean and spacious. It is a great location and a 15 minute walk from anywhere you could want to go. The staff was amazing. Huge special shoutout to Cem who helped my boyfriend prepare something for our anniversary. He went above and beyond to create something special!! I would definitely stay here again!!

This hotel was a good location to everything Savannah had to offer. It’s definitely a city where you will do A LOT of walking, so be prepared for that. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and attentive. The king studio suite was spacious and cozy. Only critique is that the pillows weren’t the coziest- my husband prefers firmer pillows that don’t sink as much.

Positive: The hotel is laid out nicely....free breakfast area is huge, and rooms/bathrooms are also very large. Negative: The smoking area is very close to the opening of the hotel, and we consistently found many groups sitting at tables by the pool and hotel entrance smoking. The area is also nice to eat outside in the morning for breakfast...unless...there are smokers.

Rooms were spacious but the sink in the bathroom wasn’t draining properly also the toilet wasn’t flushing but since my husband is a plumber he fixed that by himself. They didn’t clean the rooms every day and the trash bins were full after our first day and we stayed with the trash in our room during the second day. We were 4 persons but there weren’t enough towels for everyone. The breakfast is good. Something to be mentioned is that you have to pay parking $35/night, which is not visible when you book. The location is very good.
