Hampton Inn & Suites Santa Monica

It’s in a pretty good location… I thought I booked a nice hotel, but I only booked an expensive one. The sheets were scratchy and thin. There was a loud high pitched noise ringing in our room. When we asked about it, they told us that it’s the pool equipment making bubbles and the pool closes at 10, which isn’t really a solution at 6pm. I got the impression that they were understaffed, everyone looked tired and no one seemed to have time to spare. The cops showed up on the second night and were walking through the hallways, which was not comforting. I wish I had other photos to share some of the less bad parts of the hotel, but the only photo I thought to take was one of the police car in the parking garage (where I was parked). Family Christmas trip to La. The hotel was nice clean up to date and the location was great. 1 block walk to pier shopping and food. 30ish min drive to DTLA , Hollywood walk of fame, Beverly hills, Griffith and many other places. Free breakfast is ok nothing special at all. The staff was friendly. Valet is $60 a night which is high. There is a small target and a trader joes next door.

We had an outstanding time at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Santa Monica during our several week stay. The service from the many employees and manager we interfaced with was exceptional. Special thanks to the front desk team of Gwen, Darlene, Trevon, and Clarabel. Additional special thanks to the car valet team of Jorge, Carlos, Duncan and Michael. Special thanks to our housekeeper on the 6th floor. Also thank you to the manager, Ian, for his ongoing interest in our visit and ensuring we were happy.

Good location, wash walk to pier. Clean. Only issue is the restroom door. It is glass and a sliding door with no lock and remains open. You can see inside from certain angles. Do not recommend if you want privacy in the restroom.
