Hampton Inn & Suites San Antonio Brooks City Base

I don’t have enough glowing compliments to express my gratitude for this hotel. Alvita, and the entire staff are absolutely incredible! My family booked a room here during the summer on our way to Padre island and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel and the attentiveness of the staff. |So on a quick trip back to the island for thanksgiving, we booked here again. We were hopeful to have the same great experience and to our surprise it was even better! |Our room was large and clean, the morning breakfast was amazing……banana nut bread waffles for the win! |I will continue to book with this extremely well run hotel for any trips my family makes through San Antonio!|Sean G

I had booked a room. My husband went in to Afib and required emergency surgery. The human decency would have been to allow someone to cancel knowing that in the future they might possibly rebook with you. NOT this owner. Was too bad, no refund or even a credit for the future. No care for their customers, which would leads me to think of their service is this poor, what would that say about how well they take care of the rooms/property/etc.

My fiancé was down there on a work trip earlier this month. I reached out to the property to make sure that she could have a nice quiet room where she felt safe and could get some rest. Alvita, without hesitation, assisted not just me with this, but also helped my fiancé throughout the entire trip when she had to do late night work in the lobby. She went above and beyond guest service expectations. With all my years in the industry, it is moments like this that raised the bar and set the example. Alvita’s combination of guest service and with southern hospitality brought comfort and a positive experience during a stressful work trip. Thank you for all that you’ve done and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

The most important things for a hotel room (for me) are that I can take a nice shower then get to bed without distractions. Room 314 left a lot to be desired in both events. The room was advertised as “mobility” so I expected some odd shower fixtures, but I can’t imagine what disability warrants having a shower head on a vertical sliding rail with a maximum height of 5ft. I literally had to crouch in a catchers stance to wash above from shoulders up. Then it was time for bed, and I went to close the blackout blinds/curtains that every hotel has (in some configuration), only to find no physical blind controls. I finally tracked down an unmarked panel on the wall with 6 unlabeled buttons on it that electrically controlled the blinds, but after cycling through every button combo I could thi
