Right in front of the Canal ST Trolley is a huge win. Trolley system in N.O. is topnotch - no need to rent a car unless heading to a plantation. (which is worth it) The Room: its tiny. our king was shoe-horned into the space but it works. Corner units are smaller than wall rooms but the double windows are worth it. No Ventilation - can't open a window, you can't control the fan on the thermostat. Other than that it was clean and the service was mostly on spot. Breakfast: I enjoyed it. Not just a cereal and a yogurt. Hot eggs and sausage daily with a variety of others. Elevators are troublesome at busy times, only 4-5 people fit at once. There is 2. A few times I had two wait 5-7 minutes to get going. There are a lot of bad reviews for this prop. I didn't see why during my stay. I read
1. My reservation was going to be canceled by jade 11am if i didnt up date my credit card but I have notes in the system that I was updating it when I arrived. I was literally on the plane when I got an email not a phone call .2. I saw a bug in my room maybe isolated incident. 3. Sheets stinky Jake was nice to give fresh sheets late at night. 4. Naomi was nice enough to call united cab in the morning $36 to the airport. Hotel is 4 blocks from bourbon Street ruby slipper and the trolly stop is one block over. 5. Breakfast was real basic needs to be updated options everyone cant eat cheese or pork . Went to the Ruby Slippery instead. I stayed on floor 12 which had a nice view. If the price is right like under $100, I would try them again. Not worth more in my opinion. Covered Parking is s
My stay was great. Service was wonderful as well and the room was clean. Would definitely stay here again.
A pleasant enough stay for our four grands and us for our Christmas break to the WWII Museum and some great New Orleans food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and our room was very clean. A tad small for six (especially the bathroom which seemed very small) but we made do with the size just fine. I would rate the breakfast as OK. About average for Hampton Inns. Parking is a bit of an issue as the garage is not part of the hotel and there is zero signage directing you to the garage or where to park within the garage to get to the hotel. We asked a gentleman in the garage how to get to the hotel and he politely told us the way. Prior to that we had to “double park) and run into the hotel to ask where it even was. It is $25/day (reasonable for New Orleans) and you walk (with your
Great location in the French Quarter just a short walk from all the action. Convenient and affordable parking adjacent to the hotel. We chose a king suite which was spacious, lovely and clean and extremely comfortable. |Special shoutout to Jade in Reception! Jade is an absolute gem who went out of her way to assist us when we had some issues ordering dinners etc. In fact whatever we needed help with Jade was there. She could not have been more helpful… she’s a real asset to Hilton! |Breakfast was fine but hot food was just lukewarm and the toaster was glacially slow meaning bread had to go through 3 times to get any colour. Also a bit disappointing that the bar was not open at all during our stay. |Having said the positives far outweigh the negatives… all that the staff here
