Hampton Inn & Suites Durham/North I-85

Highly recommend this location at 1542 North Gregson Street Durham, NC We found every shift of the front desk staff to be exceptionally courteous and professional. The breakfast & area were tasty and very clean. We left refreshed the next morning. Will stay there again.

Great location right off I-85. There's a Kick Back Jack's restaurant/sports bar right in the parking lot that was very good. Hotel was clean, room was comfortable, looked like it was recently updated. Breakfast was similar to other Hamptons. Room for improvement: one elevator was not working; Bottled water was not available at all even in vending machines? Otherwise would definitely recommend.

I usually enjoy staying at Hampton Inns because they’re consistent, clean, and comfortable—but unfortunately, this location near I-85 in Raleigh-Durham fell a bit short of expectations. Check-in was good, and the staff was friendly. Well insulated room makes for low street and neighbor noise. I like that. The room itself was just nice —clean, seems like a recent update took place. Like most budget hotels, the air conditioning was noisy and cycled constantly through the night, making it hard to sleep. Breakfast was the usual. The selection was good, hot items were warm enough. The coffee was fresh and good. All good right? Now the real issue with this particular location. Only one elevator working. The other has been out of commission for a month is my understanding. This inconvenience

Please be advised, if it is booked through any app other than Hilton, you receive zero points. Just throwing that out there. Husband having surgery, so we have stayed about 5 nights, plus 2 more stays booked. That was a little upsetting, especially since we are staying so much. It is very clean, can be not so quiet at night. Sometimes, there can be lots of outside noise, ambulances, fire trucks, doors slamming and loud vehicles. I think the soundproofing might need a bit of help, but the hotel can't help that- however, the rooms are always incredibly nice, very clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is lovely. Excellent stay and we are very grateful!
