Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Downtown

In town for Volleyball tournament. Prime location to the Convention Center. Welcome upon arrival was professional and warm. Staff very professional in etiquette and appearance. Very modern decor was first impression throughout the hotel. Room was a twin queen with plenty of space. Very clean with updated fixtures as well as a very impressive bathroom. Cleanliness personified. And they promote their Hampton "plush" beds and rightly so. And last but not least the free breakfast was over the top. Not just a grab and go. Think of a breakfast favorite, they mosy likely provided it. And a dedicated spacial area to enjoy our breakfast made our morning wake ups wonderful. Very impressed with our weekend stay. 👍

This was a very nice place to stay. I was here for a convention at the Columbus convention center which is right across the street so the location was perfect. My room was clean and looked great. The service was amazing and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. Definitely would stay here again.

Positive: Loved the water pressure in the shower, clean sheets, and kind staff. Negative: The room we were given was not structured well enough to watch tv from the bed or the couch.

We stay here several times a year for competitive cheer at the convention center. Rooms are always clean, service is top notch, valet is convenient and reasonably priced compared to other parking options, and the breakfast is good. Clifford, one of the front desk personnel, is probably the nicest person in the hotel industry that we’ve ever met. Always positive, always a greeting, and just an overall great human being! Would not stay anywhere else downtown Columbus!

Service has gone to hell here. Used to be a very good hotel. Arrived early Saturday afternoon before my room was ready. No problem; figured I’d just valet the car and they could hold my bags at concierge. Nope; they said garage was full try again in a few hours. When I tried to check in at 7:30pm -even though I am HILTON GOLD AND STAYED 48 NIGHTS LAST YEAR- my virtual card still said ‘preparing room’. So I had to wait in line at the front desk where they proceeded to give me physical keys and offered two bottles of water for my troubles (which is standard for gold members anyway). Then an hour later I called to ask for late checkout. The front desk phone rang for 7 minutes 34 seconds before someone answered. Just very poor customer service all around.
