Hampton Inn & Suites Chadds Ford

Hotel staff was lovely at check in, rooms were clean and comfortable. They actually have the continental breakfast back- with the eggs, sausage, pancakes, made to order waffles, juice, etc. that everyone got rid of during covid, so be excited! Bed was a little stiff for me, but to each their own. My only issue is that I came specifically for the hot tub and pool and the hot tub was out of order and the pool was a little too cool for me. Also, the pool lift wasn't working, so if you have disabilities, they won't be able to accommodate you at this time- please call in advance to ensure it's working before booking.

Great hotel. Free breakfast. The good kind too! Omlets, waffles, pancakes, cereals, muffins, oatmeal... Would have given a 5 star if it wasn't under construction AND the hot tub was out of order. This was a major letdown... we booked it because it had a hot tub.

Positive: Breakfast included. Decent options (waffles, toast/bagel, cereal, oatmeal, warm options..). Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of parking. Clean basic rooms. Negative: The smell of chlorine the moment you walk in. The pool room was so drenched in chlorine smell, I could barely spend more than 30min in there without feeling my lungs constrict. Also kids playing in gym room and pool area with no parents.

Excellent overall experience at this Hampton Inn. To start with its a well used inn so it is in need of some up to date TLC. Paint, carpet shampoo, etc. That being said someone in the inn hierarchy has noticed and they are presently renovating assorted immediate areas, the lobby, the breakfast area (see photos) and the workout room. The seating room in the breakfast area is visually stunning. The inn seems to be the go to place for business meetings so my advice is do not eat breakfast between 6 and 7:30. Pretty crowded. 7:30 - had the place mostly to ourselves. Excellent breakfast choices, quiet rooms and hallways, beautiful indoor pool. And lastly, friendly, helpful staff. We will be back!

I was a little disappointed during my stay at The Hampton Inn & Suites Chadds Ford. On three occasions during our stay, there was no one at the front desk to assist me. When I asked if our room was ready at 12 o'clock, I was told there would be a $50 fee to check in early. Once I got to our room, I noticed dust on all the lamp shades and then asked to change rooms when the toilet seat which was yellow and quite worn (!) could not be changed. The room I was moved to was not much better. I am just used to much better at Hampton Inn & Suites. I will be looking to stay at other hotels in the area the next time I come to Longwood Gardens.
