Customer Reviews
I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Sedona and overall had a disappointing experience. On multiple occasions, staff did not acknowledge us when we said good morning. This included a female staff member setting up the breakfast area when I arrived with no greeting. Overall, the staff did not look enthusiastic about being there, which set a negative tone for the stay. ( Whoever was working as outside maintenance that day of check in was more welcoming). Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The room was spacious, but similar to another review I read, it had double doors and a bed tucked into what felt like a closet, which made it feel outdated. Although the room seemed renovated, it still didn’t look very nice or welcoming. The room rate was $236, and on top of that there was a $17 parking fee plu
All of my recent Hampton stays led me to start planing for a new chain to patronize, due to lack of everything, including service. But this one was different: cozy, elegant, clean, close to places to eat and good breakfast, friendly front desk. The A/C heating system and fridge quiet and functioning properly. Maybe I’ll stay with Hampton, if I can find more like this one.
Positive: The close proximity to everything. Negative: The hotel in very old and dated, had a strong musky smell when you first walk in. Carpet was filthy and the bath tub had a few hairs in it.
The carpet in the hallways has recently been replaced and smelled very strong of chemicals throughout. It looks like they are renovating rooms. Our room appeared to be two former rooms combined into one. The extra bed was in a "closet" with no window or vents. The entire eoom smelled terrible like musty wet dog. We had a headache everytime we were inside. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling in multiple places. At breakfast, the milk was sour. We are long time Hilton members and this hotel was very subpar, even for a Hampton. Would not stay here again
Bathroom has mold around the tub and mold spots on the ceiling . Water was all over the window heater/AC system because of old leaking windows. The hallway had a very strong smell like they used too much carpet fresh powder to mask the stink. The picture that is advertised shows a towering red rock mountain in the background which is false in reality. There are no red rock Mountain View’s as advertised. If this hotel was anywhere other than Sedona it would be empty.
