Hampton Inn Salt Lake City/Sandy

Positive: Large room, clean, comfortable pillows. The staff was amazing! Breakfast was good and had many options. Negative: We had metal bars sticking out from under the beds, I scratched myself on one of them. We fixed the beds so that my husband, who is on blood thinners, didn't get injured. We were in a room on the top floor next to the freeway, the noise was horrible.

I booked a room 6 weeks in advance, directly on their website. NOT through a third party. Upon arrival, I was notified that they had oversold the hotel and that my room was no longer available. I booked a two-queen room as I was sharing with someone for a conference. Was notified that they could give me a room with a king bed and a pullout sofa, and that they would give me a discount for the inconvenience. Upon receiving my final bill, no discount was applied. Meaning they only said that to placate me into agreeing to take the room. There were at least 50 high school girls staying in this hotel, which is obviously why they oversold the room that I had reserved. The girls in the room next to ours stayed up until 2 am being loud. Booked two rooms for one night as we got stuck in the area because of a snowstorm in the Northeast. During check-in, I told the employee I needed to extend both rooms for two nights and he told me it was no problem and I should come down to the front desk and extend in the morning. In the morning, the front desk person told us we could only extend one room for one night. No help to find another hotel. I would have never checked in if I knew I couldn't extend. Front desk couldn't give me answers and said we had to wait for management to call which ate into our plans for the day. Eventually management called and nothing changed. We packed up our stuff and left.

We did a family Christmas Party here. Had eight rooms for one night and used their conference room for the party. Staff was incredible and family enjoyed the pool. Rooms were roomy and taken care of. The kids all loved the wonderful breakfast the next morning. Location is great also. Would highly recommend it.

My daughter and I recently stayed here and we had a great experience!|We brought our cat with us too.|Since we were in and out much of the time, we didn't get to use the many amenities in the hotel. The room/bathroom was clean and just what you would expect. No issues at|all. Our cat was comfy there too. At the end of the day, it was nice to come back to a cozy room to relax.|The free breakfast every morning was great and the lady (I'm so bad with names) that runs it is absolutely Amazing! I loved the lemon scones so much she hunted down where they came from for me. Also allowed me to take a few extra for our trip home.|The manager, staff at the desk, and the housekeeping staff were all so attentive to our needs. I find this to be true of all the Hampton/Hilton Hotels I’ve stayed. It seems
