Customer Reviews
We had lots of fun in Salem and the hotel was in the perfect location. Everything was within walking distance, museums, restaurants and shops were very close. The hotel didn’t have free parking. They charged $30 just to park there which was high compared to other parking garages in the area. The room was clean and spacious but the bed was very firm. Breakfast was delicious and the woman running it was very friendly and helpful. The pool ran out of towels and when we told the front desk they said “the guy who does the towels went home for the day” and they didn’t know where they were which was kinda crazy to me.
Stayed at the Hampton Inn during the busy month of October and was really pleased! Included breakfast had good choices, room was clean, and all of the staff from the parking garage attendant to the front desk to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. On-site parking, which was heated was super helpful and a great bonus during October. Easy to walk to anything you'd want to do tourist-wise in Salem!
Review based on price for what you get. Location is the best part of this hotel and convenience in parking your car with ease for $30/night. Being a pet friendly hotel means you might not want to take your shoes off inside the room because they don’t provide slippers. Shower head was small with little pressure, no toiletries, cheap blankets and we skipped breakfast both days so not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend getting a room facing the street because you will hear all the traffic. Staff were super friendly I would say, even checking in late was a breeze. Overall paid around $430 for 2 nights so this review reflects that.
Having to pay for parking was a shock - especially @ $27:00!However, when, as a courtesy, we informed the hotel that we'd missed our connection in Amsterdam & couldn't get another flight 'till the following day they offered to re-book our room; no fuss, no surcharge, so much relieved. Very impressed with that level of service.
Loved this place. The room was spacious, cleaning staff was helpful and friendly, front desk was helpful too. On site parking that was wonderful. Close to everything, only about a 5 to 10min walk to the attractions. But the best thing was the breakfast....spacious, updated room with a good selection. My boyfriend and I were on the second part of our vacation and we had just left another Hampton Inn....this Hampton blew the other one away...hands down a better experience. My only complaint is small but, there was no safe in the room, that's it. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend
