Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting

I made a reservation for 3 nights. My plans changed and I added a 4th night with a single night reservation. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked the night desk person, if I could have the same room for all for nights. She said I couldn't. After breakfast, Valerie Jamison was on duty.i explained the situation. She was most helpful and arranged that i could have the same room the entire stay. That is good service and I thanked her. However, in an age of poor to mediocre service, it was wonderful to have good service.

Positive: nothing Negative: It was dirty and grungy. My room had the strongest oder of cheap cleaning supplies. I did not have any hot water. It was an a dump-staff was really rude and mean. manager promised refund money and didnt-i'm very upset

I have lost count of the number of times we have stayed at this hotel over the past 15 years. Let’s say at least 10 times. It used to be a great value for your money. The rooms were dependably clean, pretty good breakfast and helpful staff. We checked in on October 17 intending to stay until October 22. However, the room which was next to the highway was so noisy that we didn’t sleep all night. We tried to move immediately, but there were no available rooms. By the next day, we were desperate for sleep and they couldn’t guarantee us being able to move so we changed hotels. The primary problem was the noise, but also the room was not very clean especially the bathroom floor. Decor was ugly… and it was supposedly just renovated? Little to no water pressure in bathroom. Coffee was good, thankfully, and the yogurt and muffins made an edible breakfast. I felt like I was eating in a Walmart, though; (can’t people change out of their pjs to come down for breakfast??).

Our room as well as the lobby, dining area, and gym were all clean. Staff was friendly. Refrigerator in room did not work. Ice makers in 3rd and 4th floors are out of service.
