Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront

Cold weather isn't hotel's fault, but high room price during low(ish) season...especially when half of the building was under renovation wasn't that nice of a surprise. |Room itself was spacious enough and balcony towards to sea was real nice. Location is quite OK, famous pier and many other hotels, bars and restaurants are all pretty close. Complimentary breakfast was OK and decent looking pool area we had skip this time.

I stayed two nights with my boyfriend and a long time friend who met up with us. All three of us had an absolute wonderful stay. We were greeted by the two most hospitable women I have ever encountered. We explained that we were deciding between Margaritaville and the Hampton Inn. They immediately gave us a card to tour the pool area. They helped us figure out the best rates based on our Hilton Honors status. Their energy was so inviting we decided on the spot to skip Margaritaville. We were so glad we did. Breakfast was great and the pool bar had great food too. ||I want to be sure to shout out the names of the staff who made our stay so wonderful. ||Front Desk: Sarah and the other woman working with Sarah when we checked in Sunday Nov 30. Amazing location! Very convenient for beach lovers as this a few steps away from Jax beach. The outdoor pool and hot tub are also amazing! Breakfast, all-you-can eat and free! 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Our stay here was amazing! Carole was the highlight of our quick trip. She went out of her way to help us feel comfortable and right at home. Her trust, earnestness, and warmth felt like a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cold and foggy trip to Jax beach. Came for the hotel, stayed for the GOAT Carole.

The good news first.. if I was with small kids this would be a great choice, as long as your room faces the road, not the ocean OR sides of the building. Kids will flip out over the pool and beach. ||The bad news...major reno taking place on this 65 year old property with 177 rooms...resurfacing all 7 stories renders oceanfront balconies UNUSEABLE. Construction workers are wearing commercial grade respirators, so unless you want to join that party...||Week prior request for top floor as Diamond went ignored. Asked to be moved when avail, informed "we don't do that"...which I heard as "no, we don't care to accommodate our guests' requests". Whatever. Carole seems to spend most of her time in the evening yelling across the lobby to people in the bar. ||Yes the other reviews of this property
