Casa Marina Hotel and Restaurant

Beautiful spot literally right on the beach. The hotel had just the right amount of historical flair without feeling overtly outdated or run down. Offsite parking was visible from the hotel and felt very safe. The rooftop bar was incredible and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay again!

We had our wedding at this beautiful venue. Virginia and Alicia were wonderful to work with! Our initial meeting was with Virginia who answered all of our questions and explained all of the offerings and wedding packages. Both Virginia and Alicia were always available through the whole process answering all of our questions making sure I had all of the information and felt comfortable. We really enjoyed our tasting event which allowed us to pick the perfect menu. Our guests raved about the food at our wedding saying everything was so delicious and prepared perfectly!! Nice hotel, the rooms were clean but very old. The main complaint I wouldHave is that it is on Jacksonville beach and there is zero parking available so you have to pay to park! The hotel was also having a very loud party that lasted well into the night.

Someone else wrote, “Could be great, but isn’t,” and wow, that’s spot on. The hotel has beautiful bones. The location and the building is lovely and historical. The staff seem nice too. But the upkeep is seriously lacking and most comforts that you’d come to expect are missing. The elevator floor and staircase carpet are disgusting. I don’t think anyone has cleaned them in a very long time, if ever. Our room was also far from clean, which was upsetting but we arrived late and just needed to sleep. The bedsheets were thankfully clean, but when we spilled a little water on the floor and used one of their rough, small shower towels to dry it up, it turned a dark gray. I visit Jax Beach on and off since I live in the near by area and for years I wanted to visit Casa Marina restaurant, oh it looks fancy I kept telling myself. Well my husband I were staying at a hotel near by and decided to go there for dinner not knowing the food is more like appetizers food. We just ordered the bbq brisket nachos they were okay and I ordered myself a drink the painkiller which it was very good. Service was okay, kind of felt like we were a bit of a bother but everyone was polite at least. Since we never been there as we walked in all the employees were gathered around the bar no one greeted us so I had to ask if we sit ourselves or we have to wait to be seated.
