Hampton Inn Havelock

Star at front desk was wonderful! Awesome stay all around-great hot breakfast that the kids loved too. All staff members were friendly. Room was very clean with very comfortable beds. Free water bottles and cookies were appreciated. We loved it!

Recently stayed December 24th - 29th 2025 to visit with my son , who is Marine on the Havelock base. I was impressed with the room, supplies, breakfast buffet, and very reasonable price, especially compared to New York where I live. The staff was generally friendly, but when I needed assistance due to a foot injury and using a cane, support felt limited and at times uncomfortable to ask for. Especially when I needed help to check out which I had to ask for and explain a few times. Housekeeping was very brief and not as thorough as expected. The in-room phone did not work, and the hair dryer stopped working as well, with no replacement offered. I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Havelock, NC over Christmas while visiting my Marine son and am a Hilton Honors member. While the hotel is attractive, the room comfortable, and the breakfast good, there were several issues including inconsistent housekeeping, nonfunctioning room amenities, and limited assistance with accessibility while I was injured and using a cane. I accidentally left my laptop charger plugged into the wall and partially on the desk. It was not discovered until I personally called several days after checkout, raising concerns about room inspection and cleaning. I requested overnight shipping at my expense, but it was still delayed. I've stayed at quite a few Hilton properties on my quest to visit all 100 counties, and this is a solid choice. The room was comfortable, although the current detergent Hampton Inn locations are using right now, don't have as fresh of a scent as I would prefer. So not specific to this locale. The room was showing some age but nothing significant. The staff provided free water and cookies which was a nice bonus. The location is convenient if you are driving but not as much if you want to walk, although there are a few things nearby.
