Hampton Inn Ft. Walton Beach

The hotel location is awesome. However there are only 5 rooms that have an ocean view. The breakfast was really good. The cleaning service was horrible. Stayed three days and got no cleaning service at all. The patio door lock was broken. The bathroom door had to be lifted and shoved to close. The air conditioner barely worked. The keys I was issued didn't work so I had to get more and then was given only one. Definitely would not stay again.

I stayed here for about four days. It was a good place to be, and I do appreciate the free breakfast that starts at 6am since that saves about $15 to $20 per day if you are conservative with going out to eat. I do appreciate that the breakfast was slightly different each day; scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, western omelets, etc. If you are going to stay for a short stay, about 10 days a most I think this is a win. If this is a business trip and you are staying for months, I don't think it is good only because of the lack of on-site laundry. They do offer a laundry service, but that is too much. Also, keep in mind you have to pay for parking, I think it is $15 a day, but for a hotel in this area you probably won't find better. My conclusion is its good for short stays if you aren't

Great location, but that is what you pay for. The rooms are upgraded but outdated at the same time, looks the same it did 15 years ago when my grandparents took us there on summers. They need to upgrade the hotel fully cause the location is unbeatable

Positive: Ocean view + proximity, real breakfast + longer hrs it's open. Breakfast didn't close at 9 or 9:30. We're at the beach!! Negative: Local mgmt is doing their VERY best to run a nice hotel, but it's evident Hilton isn't doing much maintenance on this older hotel at this time. That's too bad for the people who work hard at the property, as if they're set up for failure.

We came here for one night in January, and really enjoyed our time! The room was clean, the hotel is updated, clean, and pleasant looking. But what prompted my review was the service. Everyone at this hotel that we’ve interacted with has been beyond friendly, and in a down-to-earth, genuine manner. I’ve just enjoyed staying here because of them! Thank you to the team!!
