Hampton Inn Detroit/Madison Heights/South Troy

Stayed here for a week during the holidays. This hotel was clean, quiet & safe. Loved that the breakfast rotated. The “Business Center” was the only disappointment of the hotel. It consisted of only of a printer. No computer was available for customer use. ||All the employees were extremely hospitable & made sure your stay was enjoyable. Thank you to all for making our stay feel like we were “Home for the Holidays!” We’ll definitely return in 2026!

Facility is very well kept and rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is good and on occasion was great (today had scrambled eggs, bacon and red skin roasted potatoes!) And Raquel kept it well stocked. Staff is the shining star here. Front desk very welcoming and helpful (special kuddos to Brittany and Kara) and housekeeping folks are very friendly and do their job very well (special thanks to Regina and Tina). Manager Cameron was so kind. I have stayed at many hotels for work and fun and this is one of the best run. I will give warning about rooms 117-121. This is a pet friendly facility (these rooms are close to door for animals) and across from the laundry/housekeeping and elevator machinery. Can get rather noisy so choose different room unless you have a dog!

Positive: The general manager were responsive to things brought to their attention. This hotel is also a great accommodation for family with children. Negative: Maintenance. Check on your items to be sure it’s working. Lotion in the bathroom was empty and the shower door would not stay shut.

This is a somewhat atypical Hampton Inn; we wondered if it may have originally been something else. The rooms are smaller than most Hampton Inns but the amenities are about the same. Typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Good location - easy access to or from I-75. It’s quiet and the staff is friendly and helpful. But the facility itself is tired and could use a substantial overhaul. I read some of the earlier reviews that talk about recent renovations; they didn’t go far enough. Having said that, our stay was not uncomfortable and, given the location, we were satisfied.

Our company had a collaboration event with team members from all over the world, and we worked with Roneka to plan our group event. Everything was smooth and effortless. Roneka went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for our meeting, helped our foreign guests with their reservation changes, and was genuinely helpful in every possible way. I didn't stay in the hotel, but I did visit two of the rooms, and they were adequately appointed. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. There is a great restaurant across the street, Madhouse Grill, and many local restaurants that deliver. Every staff member we met was gracious and friendly and helpful. Note that they are about to go through a big renovation, so depending on when you call, they may be in the middle of that, or may be an
