This is a very basic Hampton Inn decorated in a sparsely modern style. It is located near the interstate highway and sandwiched in between strip malls, busy 3 lane roads, fast food restaurants and neon sign-lit, macadam parking lots. Lots of them. The physical setting is soulless. Rooms and hallways have minimalist abstract decos. You won't be seeing any ship and harbor landscapes here. Breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn "included" meal. No surprise there. But what really struck us was the noise transmission from room to room, especially from higher level rooms to the rooms beneath them. We stay in Hampton Inns frequently. I can't complain about my experience at this Hampton Inn. The parking was free, the room was clean and spacious, and the majority of the staff was friendly. The finishes were updated, and everything worked as it should. The pool area was heated and clean, the breakfast had variety and a waffle maker. When we got there, there were spots of blood on the sheets (small, easily missed, everything else was meticulously cleaned), and when we called the front desk, the staff was horrified and came over to give us new sheets immediately, even offering to change them for us rather than have us change them.
