Hampton Inn Chicago McCormick Place

I stayed at Hampton Inn McCormick Place and had a very good experience overall, especially for a convention stay. The biggest plus is the location for McCormick Place. The hotel is part of a shared building with Hilton and Home2Suites and connects to the convention center via an enclosed skybridge with 24 hour card access. It is a bit of a walk, about 15 to 20 minutes total to the main halls, but if you do not have mobility issues, it is very doable and weather proof. Free breakfast was excellent. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, chicken sausage, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, and snacks. It does get crowded around 9 am, so go earlier or plan to take food back to your room during peak times. I was surprised by how nice the hotel was. I thought for the price I paid it wouldn't be as luxurious. I was impressed the moment I walked in the doors. Staff was all kind. They were helpful and went above and beyond. The view was great. The breakfast was amazing and the hotel was awesome. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay. Chen made my breakfast experience special and greeted me personally every day. I received a gift souvenir in my room for being the guest of the day, which is a cute little ceramic mug. My room was clean and well kept, and the hot water was fast and limitless. My room was quiet and the hotel's atmosphere was calm and clean. This is the best place to stay near McCormick place for a good value, and I am never disappointed. Definitely going to stay here in the future.

Ramon Vianca, Laura V,and Mario , and Alex are the best thing to ever happen to hotel hospitality!! They are exceptional at their jobs and always maintain a calm and peaceful front desk even in times of being insanely busy!! The breakfast staff is amazing as well! They make my kids and I feel like they spent all morning waiting for just us to come down. We have been here so many times and the girls know the staff by name and run to hug them each time we come back to visit!! This Hampton Inn is conveniently located very close to Chinatown, which made it easy to explore the area and find great food nearby. The lobby is especially welcoming, with comfortable sofas and a cozy fireplace that creates a relaxing atmosphere after a long day out. The breakfast area and pool are located on the second floor, and the space is quite spacious and surprisingly quiet once the breakfast rush is over. Our room was clean, well maintained, and generously sized, making for a comfortable stay. Overall, it’s a pleasant, calm hotel with thoughtful common areas and a great location.
