Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile

Room was clean, checking in was easy and comfortable. Staff at the reception was always friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very convenient. We would skip breakfast, staff at breakfast was quiet rude. If getting yelled at before you're first coffee is your thing, then go for it. Besides that the food quality is a little sad.

This hotel is in a great location with access to many popular attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Ms. Lynette greeted our family with a bright smile and helpful tips and was really fun with the kids. I appreciate her tips for the bbq place downtown. Check in was a breeze and Darrell was so helpful and professional and checked us in quickly and made sure my nephew had a great room for his birthday. The rooms were clean, spacious, and we enjoyed our trip. Check out the Cookie Bar across the street for some yummy snacks.

First time staying here(I choose a new hotel every visit) and overall I’d give it a 4/5. All in all, it’s a nice hotel; great location(like one street away from mag mile/michigan ave), breakfast included, and decent pricing. For 2 nights I paid less than $300 and I really loved that for a spacious king bed room. Bed is comfortable in my opinion. Also, I had some important documents I needed printed and I thought this place had a business center with a printer but they don’t. Angela at the front desk was nice enough to allow me to send them to her to print for me. This place only loses a star because as soon as I checked into my room the toilet has had a consistent flushing problem(not a plumber but I’ve had this problem in apartments before and the toilet handle isn’t catching to allow the

Like most other reviews, this Hampton is not up to standards. Beds are squeaky and old. Some chairs in the breakfast area are so worn out that they should be thrown away or reupholstered. There was no hot water in the bathroom at 4pm when we were trying to get ready before going to dinner. Cuts in the carpet in the rooms. One of the 3 elevators is out of order so wait times can exceed 20+ minutes. Some of the other guests were smoking weed in the rooms making the hallways smell disgusting. We barely got any sleep our last night because someone was rudely playing music with deep bass from 9pm until 9am when we left. The only good things about this hotel are location and the staff. My name is Brenda and I stayed in Room 2509 at Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile on 1/16/26 - 1/18/26 because I had to attend 2-family members funerals. I woke up Sunday morning with bite marks on my neck. I went to the front desk to file a report and was informed that a manager wasn't on duty, but will be in at 10:00 A.M. and will reach out to me. I filed my report between 8:30 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. I was also informed that they would send someone up to inspect the room. I immediately went back to my room and informed my cousin and niece to get dressed because someone will be coming to inspect the room.
