GreenTree Inn Houston IAH Airport

After a long flight I was very impressed by the free shuttle. I had emailed the hotel asking hours earlier in the day and got a quick detailed reply. I called upon arrival and a friendly clerk answered on the second ring, and let me know there were 2 shuttles and to expect one in 10-15 minutes. In about 10 minutes one arrived vs talking to many who had booked expensive hotels that couldn’t get an answer or were giving up after a long wait. The room was basic, but very clean and looked recently painted. The bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. Stayed at GreenTree Inn Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) on Dec 25 (Christmas Day) in Room 232 and found a cockroach in my room. I had to kill it myself. That alone is unacceptable. I called the front desk and asked for bug spray—they told me they didn’t even have any. Their only “solution” was to offer a room change, but with a pest issue, moving rooms without any proof of inspection/treatment is meaningless. If there’s one roach, the concern is the building, not just one room. I emailed Guest Relations with photos. They admitted they received and documented them and said pest control would be scheduled—then denied any refund/compensation because “a room relocation was offered,” so I “don’t qualify” under their policy. I did email them already to complain about their terrible service, but no reimbursement was made. I had to pay for the taxi because their shuttle bus never came to pick us up at the airport. The hotel staff told us to wait for 15 mins, or the shuttle would leave at 3PM,etc. every time we called them for 4 times. That was all lies. Shuttle never came. We had to take a taxi, and the driver was chilling at the hotel lobby. The air conditioning was broken in our room. I emailed to complain and asked for reimbursement, but denied. I disputed on my cc as I already told in the email to. them. No shuttle, no air conditioning, and no refund at this hotel.

My husband saw a cockroach in the bathroom. The heater was broken. We had it on 85 all night and it only blew out cold air. The breakfast was a few pieces of fruit, some prepackaged muffins, and juice boxes. Now we’re being told we may not have a shuttle to the airport because they are down one driver and the other one works for multiple hotels.

Had a really unpleasant experience at this hotel. Wasted several hours outside at the terminal A, waiting for a free shuttle bus. Every time we called the hotel, they kept saying "oh the driver is on his way, or he should be there in 15min or 30min." So after waiting in the heat outside we finally gave up and took a taxi. I couldn't believe my eyes when we got there! The driver was sitting in the lobby and the shuttle bus was parked outside! We asked at the front desk to reimburse the taxi cost but they only blamed on the shuttle bus company, refused to reimburse us. We could have called a taxi earlier if they hadn't kept lying to us. This whole situation was unacceptable. Our room was nasty too, smelled like mold. The air-conditioning didn't work, there were stains on the sheets, and the
