Grand Hotel of Cape May

Our grown children (with Grandchildren) stayed here during Christmas week. They invited us to enjoy the facilities (pool, restaurant...) the room was real nice. The indoor pool was fun for all of us. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant. The food was good, our server was really nice. We did have to wait a bit for our order but that's because a large party ordered just before us. I recommend the Grand. Oh and the Winter rates were Great.

Positive: I loved the location, ease of going to the beach (though hurrican Erin interrupted our stay), and the indoor pool (great when it's raining outside). Heminway's Restaurant right on site was a great place to dine. Negative: The beach towels that are lent at the pool and the beach look very old. For the price I paid per night, the towels should be updated. Also, the rug looked dirty and felt damp sometimes.

This review is to note the exceptional customer service of Debbie Edwards (rooms Division Mgr at the Grand Hotel Cape May NJ). She went above and beyond by comping us an extra connecting room to ours - which was unreserved that night - to obtain extra space and a more complete suite experience for New Year's Eve. Clearly elevating Ms. Edwards to a higher position would benefit the hotel. I say this because upon check in I questioned the room I rsvd and was offered no option. Understandably the hotel was booked solid that night before New Years Eve. Next day I asked for the manager. Within a few mins of speaking w/Ms. Edwards, she quickly came up w/a compromise finding what would be available to use for that night (2nd day of my reservation New Years eve). We had the ABSOLUTE best experience at The Grand for our wedding. The front desk was a great resource during our wedding weekend and accommodated both ours and our guests needs. Everyone was SO friendly, we made friends with the staff at the hotel and Hemingways, and we felt like we created a little home away from home family. As soon as you walk in the hotel, that’s exactly what you feel. The food was absolutely incredible all week, the hotel was welcoming and decorated beautifully and our accommodations were clean and well stocked.  Katlyn and her team are the friendliest, most accommodating individuals who went above and beyond for us during our special weekend. They were available all throughout the planning process, and we had a blast planning every detail, there was no stress whatsoe

We arrived on Saturday 12/20 and were greeted by a staff that felt welcoming. We were upgraded to the King George Suite with a view of the ocean and two decks and a full size kitchen and 3 bedrooms. I got engaged to my girlfriend and it made it absolutely perfect. It was a beautiful room and just breathtaking views. I can’t wait to come back this summer. Thank you Grand Hotel Staff for making such a memorable weekend.
