Grand Galvez Resort, Autograph Collection

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Saw this beautiful pink hotel last year when we were in Galveston and decided I had to budget it for this year. Glad we did so wonderful this historic hotel is just like taking a step back in time. Wonderfully tapestry throughout. We enjoyed ourselves at the lobby bar and had a couple of our specials. One evening they actually had a piano man. Excellent customer service but as the evening progresses it gets a little busy and seats are hard to find. Our room was wonderful although just a little small which was to be expected but we had a gorgeous view of the ocean. We picked up coffee every morning from the lobby and had excellent customer service there too. Parking was a little tight if you do not choose valet parking. Some parking is on the side o

Front desk personnel was very inviting. Decorations in the hotel are very nice. Room was a little small but big enough for a family of 4. Room was extra cold upon arrival which I enjoyed the temperature. The grounds were well kept. Great proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants. My family will definitely be going back to Galvez

Positive: We stayed in a king bed size room. I was very pleased by the size of the room. Comfortable bed. Great massage at spa. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Great location. The hotel was very accommodating by allowing us to get in our room at 2pm on arrival. Negative: The espresso maker wasn?t working in the room.

This resort is absolutely beautiful down to every detail. My husband and I were visiting family in Houston from Scottsdale for the holidays, and we decided to treat ourselves to a romantic stay in Galveston for a couple nights. What a great decision.|This hotel's beauty is on-par with some of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Check-in was quick and easy, and the kind lady who checked us in gave us some wonderful recommendations and was very helpful. Our room was bright and clean, yet still cozy.|Dinner at Monarch was met with nothing but great and attentive service, and I was very impressed with the food. Get the Oysters Rockefeller!!! After dinner, we indulged in a nightcap at Founder's Bar, where we were met with a snazzy smoked old fashioned.||I didn't want to leave this paradise!

1/17/2026: We went for a drink at the bar, so I don't have any information about the rooms themselves. However, my friend and I walked the lobby to see the Queen of The Gulf. She is beautiful! 1911 and beautify remodeled over the years. The attention to detail is amazing. The lobby smelled lovely and the decor was phenomenal! She boasts large chandeliers in the hallways and bar area, a beautifully mosaic tiled entry, grand steps to the rooms, a bougie gift shop, and a restaurant called The Monarch. The landscaping is exquisite with tropical plants and a gorgeous fountain in the front lawn entrance. They offer valet parking. Our martinis were $29.00 each (before gratuity), but I think that was THE best martini I've ever had! We will be back, but next time, it will be for a room stay. I can'
