Glen Eyrie Gatehouse

I recently stayed at this hotel, which was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I paid $200 for a room, only to find out it was a half-basement room with an under deck. When I requested a room change, I was told I would have to pay an additional $70 or nothing could be done. The website doesn't provide enough description of the rooms, and the photos are entirely misleading—what I got was nothing like what was advertised. The staff was unhelpful and unsympathetic to my situation. For the price I paid, I expected much better service and accommodations. I do not recommend staying here and will certainly not return.

Who expects a hotel room to be located on the basement and with the wall view? Old, stinky and damp room. The website description is misleading and didn’t have detailed descriptions about each room. The front desk didn’t accommodate for any change and asked us to upgrade and pay extra. Totally not a place that is worth the money

Try to go to the bookstore and get a coffee and look around. However we were stopped at the gate and were not allowed to enter because on the weekend only guess what reservations at the restaurant or hotel can enter. I don't know but they just kind of hit me the wrong way that we were refused entry and the guy at the gate. He wasn't necessarily rude but he wasn't friendly at all. Just didn't feel very inviting. Not sure we'll try to come back

Glen Eyrie is a magnificent place. We'll worth a visit and tour!

What a place I stumbled upon. Highly recommend visiting or staying overnight. Great customer service. Great trails.
