German Village Inn Columbus

Room was pretty clean from what I saw, outdated TV’s and even more outdated showers and tubs but they got the job done. Clean sheets and pillows, the towels had some residue on them but nothing crazy, staff were decent although they had no options for a do not disturb and our room was serviced without our knowledge which I didn’t appreciate but they did a good job I guess , check in weren’t super inviting but got the job done with no hassle. The room did smell of smoke when we got in and it was advertised and even posted to be a non smoking room which was a pretty big deal, area was pretty shady and the place looks old and beat up from the outside, it was the cheapest hotel in the area and was a little overpriced because of the busy weekend, if it’s your only choice I would definitely go f

We were able to get checked in pretty quickly. The air conditioning was very much so welcomed as well as the blackout curtains. You could barely tell it was daytime at the 11 am checkout time.

Positive: "" Negative: The floors were so dirty that my white socks turned black. The room smelled bad. The bathroom was dirty and unsanitary.

An adequate room for an adequate price. No frills and the room is a room. I brought my own bedding because… yeah, well. I docked a point on the rooms because the door stopped working multiple times (registered the key card as correct, but the hinge wouldn’t open… had to shake the door to get the mechanism to work, which was mildly alarming).

Foul odor in the room as if it was mopped with a spoiled mop. I could have requested for it to be mopped again or provided with materials to mop it myself I guess but I didn't care I was just there to sleep. Recovery of forgotten items I give them a five plus I forgot my glasses and they had them at the desk when I went back.
