Gateway Inn

If there was a 1/2 star I would use it. The rooms are old and need upgrading. The outside and inside of the lobby are nice. The staff was polite and friendly but the rooms need major upgrades. They look like rooms you rent by the hours. If you are staying less than 7 days they will not clean your room because of covid yet they don’t provide any clean supplies. My room had ants and had to be sprayed twice. You will have to go to the Main lobby to pick up towels and hygiene products if you run out. I feel bad for the sailors that have to be stuck there for weeks during training. Sailors, book the navy lodge for if at all possible or see about staying out in town.

This place needs to be bull dozed to the ground. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Place was completely disgusting, roaches, bugs, dirty towels, black mold in the bathroom. It smelled like rotted food and dead animals in the room. Don’t let any nice pictures fool you, we were working storm restoration from the hurricane, and all 7 of our crews left this place and drove an hour to sleep In the trucks after working 16hr that day!!!! Stay far away!!!

This place was absolutely disgusting, there were roaches on the floor, the hotel room smelled like someone had died in this room. The bathroom was dirty, towels were stained. I walked into the room, the mini fridge was wide open had some food left in there. The door to the room itself looks like someone had punched it and beat the door, this is a terrible area and an even more terrible hotel.

This place isn’t the upper class of accommodations but it’s fitting for our needs as we wait to close on our new house. Mary comes everyday to ask if anyone needs anything from them such as trash bags, toilet paper, soap, etc. One can definitely tell that this couple/family actually has done as much as possible to keep this place in shape.

If there was a negative star.. this one would get infinity negative. If that was a thing. This is by far the most disgusting place ive ever been. If I’m coming across as disrespectful its not my intention. But no one needs to be under the impression that this is a quality place to stay by old pictures or old reviews that they read online. Unless skid row is a place you like to reside. STAY AWAY from this place!!!!!!!
