The rooms were pretty clean and the guy that runs he place is super sweet and helpful! And the location is great! I had so many great restaurants and boutiques for shopping all in walking distance. I also walked all the way to the garden of the gods. That was a little bit of a trek but not terrible. Go check it out. Steve will hook you up! He knows all the good BBQ places around too!!

Garden of the Gods Motel is by far the most convenient for walking to Old Colorado City, dining, coffee. Easy short drive to Manitou, Pikes Peak, Olympic Training Center, Velodrome and much more. Can't wait to come back again in 2026. This was my 2nd trip and Steve and his wife (owners) are super nice and accomodating.

We could tell that the staff tries to improve and maintain this property, but it fell short on cleanliness and simple structural issues. The door had a big gap with no weather strip which allowed a yellow jacket into the room that we had to chase and dispense. The microwave did not work, and upon examination I saw that it was unplugged. To grab the plug I had to pull the shelf away from the wall which exposed a bird feather, lots of crumbs and part of an apple. The baseboards were also dusty and the black carpet was stained and in need of stretching. The furniture was newish but it just didn’t feel totally clean due to the above issues. I’m sure that you get what you pay for and it did look to be the best of the roadside motels. The AC shuddered and squeaked to life every little while thro

After taking the time to reflect on my journey at this motel, I decided to give it 2 stars. I added a star since the gentleman was nice, but omma was checked out. The room was acceptable; there was a stench coming off the air conditioner but at least it worked! Lots of bugs since the windows had no screens. Oh, our lock stopped locking since the battery ran out but they did fix it and none of our things got stolen in the meantime. On the bright-side, it's very close to Old Colorado City which was a great time. It's also right next to Trails End Taproom which was a highlight of my time in Colorado. Lastly, the goodie bags. It's great that they give the goodie bags. But try staying more than one day, and you quickly realize that they just want you gone. Ask them for bottle water past day 1

Recently stayed here for a week. Found the room very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. We had a late check in since our flight was delayed. Even at the late hour, the man gave each of us a goody bag with various snacks, fruit and water. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.
