Garden Inn Homestead

I stayed at the Garden Inn recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, check-in was quick and the front desk staff greeted me warmly and efficiently. Housekeeping did come through and cleaned the room during my stay, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the good. It was quite cold outside, but there was no working heat in the room—the heater either didn't function at all or barely put out any warmth, making the stay uncomfortable. The room also had a noticeable mold smell that lingered the entire time, which raised concerns about cleanliness and air quality. The bedding was another letdown: instead of proper pillows, there were only small cushions on the bed, which weren't supportive or comfortable for sleeping. The continental br

The positive is that it's a decent price and the location was good. Unfortunately, if you want to actually sleep and not wake up in pain, this is not your place. The mattresses are so soft that when you sit on one you feel like you are sitting on a water bed and you sink down about a foot. The pillows are so thin as to be useless, but have just enough puff that you can't stack them to make it work. It's like sleeping on a half-inflated balloon. Of the 8 pillows in our room, exactly 0 were functional.||The housekeeping needs some work. It was relatively clean, but a previous occupant had plastic wrapped around the smoke detector, which wasn't noticed, so that's a major safety hazard. well, i said it all before, very clean, safe, good breakfats, great staff, just a littler issue was that i decided to add another day, and i had to check out at 11,30 (they gave me extra time) so i had to leave the room and had to check in at 4 pm, ,so i recommend to book all together instead of day by day, everything else was ok

About a 1.5 mile away from turnpike. Less than a mile from the venue we were going to (Royal Palace Ballroom). Nice size, very clean, ac worked well, mattress too soft for me but I slept good. It had a microwave, coffee-maker, mini-fridge, iron and iron board. Pool was clean and inviting. The breakfast was good (eggs, sausages, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, muffins, apples, yogurt, coffee). I'm used to closed in lobby hotels but I liked it.

The hotel is nice. Enter the rooms from the outside. Lobby is open 24 hours. We did not make it to breakfast but they said free breakfast. Pool looked nice and clean. They do provide bar soap and shampoo. Beds were comfortable.
