Garden District House

Absolutely no complaints. Unfortunately my stay was short - only 14 hours. Kitchen was quite clean, well-stocked, with nice appliances. Numerous bathrooms, functional, with NO ODORS. The beds in the dorm room were clean, no bugs, no odors. Aircon worked very well. Checkout was incredibly easy. Tatiana was professional. The one male staff I met was very personable - he set up my bed in the dorm, then later he made me an 'ice coffee'. That was a very nice gesture. The McDonald's and Walmart were quite convenient. I plan to stay there again in a few months, longer next time, in one of the private rooms.

I recently stayed her when a friend of mine bailed on our trip to San Fran. On a whim, I decided to come to NOLA. I booked literally less than 24 hrs when my vacation started and I got a spot! The stay here was beyond amazing!! It was my first time staying in a hostel and this place exceeded my expectations! It’s a house converted so you get that homey and comfort vibe. The beds and room were clean and great. There’s even a patio in the middle of the house which is great to have breakfast and to read a book. The staff was helpful and great! Nadia especially! She was warming and welcoming! We talked about places to see, eat, bars, shopping, etc. By the end of my stay she wasn’t the staff to me any longer but a friend! I highly recommend this place. Trust me. You won’t regret it!

The hostel was basic but perfectly met our meets. ||||Room was spotlessly clean, and came with free towels and WiFi which not all hostels offer, always a bonus! ||||Bathroom and lounge facilities again were basic but perfectly serviceable and cleaned regularly. There were only 2 showers and 3 toilets however; we never had an issue but I can imagine this might get pretty busy in peak season.||||The staff (especially Tatiana) were super helpful. We arrived to a tour of the hostel facilities, given a map with recommendations of where to go, things to do and local tram services etc, and got help booking some tours we found. I also seen the staff showing others how to use the cooking facilities - I'd say they genuinely care about you having a fuss free time. ||||Location was ideal for us; it's

The Garden District House is a very nicely kept hostel conveniently located within walking and or trolley distance of the excitement of downtown, HOWEVER some restrictions apply to eligibility to stay in this little budget-saving location. I have stayed at this location before and the savings on the room left me with extra pocket change to indulge in the awesome food and entertainment offered the city so appropriately famous for its ambiance. || I popped into NOLA at the last minute for Halloween with high hopes for another brilliant trip. Nevertheless, this time my attempts to book accommodations at this destination were met with regulations of which I was previously unaware. 1) A non-Louisiana driver's license is required for stay in this hostel and 2) a current student ID or out-

When we rolled up we thought we were in the wrong place, the beads outside looked like it might be a fun place but as with most of NOLA it’s a bit run down. The staff, specifically Maira was super nice and accommodating. The inside was also very clean, the bathrooms too, the shower was a bit janky but nothing major. They also had an outdoor patio that was awesome as well. I came with my girlfriend and we bought two beds but obviously shared. Definitely will come back and stay here!
