Galaxy Motel Brooklyn

The galaxy is a shelter. It is not for a beautiful time No, there is no breakfast. It is on the hoe stroll. No, it is not kid friendly. The first two floors, the shelter the last two floors are hotels and it is dirty. It has been dirty since 1999 . Oasis is a shelter too. You have to go down by Broadway Junction for a decent hotel.

Arrived very late last night and was greeted, and I use that lightly, by a receptionist who's English was appalling. Could just about understand him. He was so unfriendly. Not engaging or welcoming. To make matters worse my daughter and I was given 2 separate rooms 404 and 403 due to renovation. We wasn't informed of this by yourselves or them. Couldnt understand why we were given 2 rooms as one was enough for both of us. Having a kingsize bed. Room 403 wasn't too bad until we saw the toilet which had a used tampon swimming in it. The cleaners were in another room. We approached them explained the situation and they was so blaise as if it didn't matter. My daughter understandably didn't want to sleep in that room. The rooms get a 4 due to blanket had couple of holes. Needed more pillows. Location is good because of all the places to eat from and easy transportation. Upside the entrance of the parking lot is too narrow.

The room itself looks nice but the room we stayed in the floor looks like it hadn't swept in 2 weeks, the refrigerator the microwave oh gosh dont get me started and the sheets had hair on them was dirty. So I went to the front desk and the guy told me I had to wait for the cleaning rew to come in 830pm for them to clean the room. So we went to the store and bought cleaning supplies, wiped down everything except the floor smh. Again the room itself is nice but the cleaning people are not doing a good job keeping the rooms clean at all.

Do not be scammed! This hotel was a shelter for the homeless and is used by the local ladies of the night. Very dirty and run down. The place smells of smoke and narcotics. Do not believe the fake ratings. There is no dining or breakfast option, or room service. Very disgusting rooms. BEWARE!
