This place is amazing and Brian does a great job of keeping care of you. For being super remote, the cabin is extremely clean and comfortable - hot showers, well equipped, and big windows with beautiful water views. Yes, the toilet is composting and Brian occasionally has to run a generator for power, but honestly the toilet functions pretty close to a regular toilet. A perfect cabin for 4, or 5 in a squeeze. The fishing for walleye, smallmouth and pike is really good if you know what you're doing. You pretty much have the island to yourself aside from Brian in the one other cabin. The area is beautiful. Rent a boat in Ash River Trail, pay for a portage at Kettle Falls (what a kick), and experience a wilderness stay with out the fly-in price tag.
