Freighterview Campsite

The site itself wasn't really anything special, but it is close to the north east point which has good views. The site is pretty overgrown, but it does have a bearbox and a privy. The closest water source is a mile away at North Beach, so make sure you stop and refill your water on the way by. There is only one good spot for a hammock at this site and it's kind of close to the fire pit. The tent pad looks like only enough space for one or two small tents.

This is a pretty secluded campsite. There is a flat space for a tent, a fire ring with two benches, a picnic table, a vault toilet with one privacy wall and a bear box. There is not firewood here.

Had a lot of firewood which was a plus, but it was due to a lot of fallen trees over the campsite and it was hard to find the latrine and it is a very small campsite which were all minuses but for the price not bad at least there was a fire ring which was more than I expected to be honest another plus. 3 stars

Camped here with my then-girlfriend Labor Day weekend 1997. Gorgeous unforgettable views. Blueberries.
