Freighters View On the Bay

Perfect spot for a night of glow rock hunting! Close to food, drinks, gift shops—and of course, plenty of rocks. We really appreciated the personal touches: bug spray (much needed), s’mores supplies, and a well-stocked bathroom with toiletries. The beds were comfortable, and even though the space was small, it had everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

If you’re visiting Whitefish Point and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, the Soo, Tahqumenon Falls, or Crisp Point Lighthouse this set of 4 cabins is super clean, super convenient and easy on the pocketbook. We had cabin 3, which had coffee, filters, dish soap, extra toilet paper, extra paper towels, 2 small bars of soap, comfy double beds, extra blanket, really nice thick bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. The shower head was tiny, but the pressure and temperature control were terrific. Our host had a welcome note at the door and inside with his number if we had any questions or concerns. 4 resin chairs were available and a picnic table, fire pit, dry wood for an evening fire. Everything works. We couldn't get connected to the Internet. Fortunately, the Fresh Coast Cafe about 3 miles away offered Internet. The smoke detector flashed a green light every minute through the night. It's noisy since it's so close to the road. The refrigerator worked, but just barely. There's a good view of Lake Superior but no beach.

Great place to stay if you are coming to the area of White Fish Point. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable, hot shower and spectacular views of Lake Superior. Gorgeous sunrises with Canada 🇨🇦 in the distance. Saw a couple Lake Superior tankers quietly slipping by.

Just the basics but cabins were clean and cozy. Plus for being about 10 steps from the Bay. Great sunrise and nice moonlight on the water. Unfortunately the main road to the point is also 10 steps away. Not much traffic in the fall but it might get noisy in peak season
