Franconia Notch Motel

Last second hiking trip to NH. Reserved room online 5th to 7th. then stayed another night cuz of good time being had. Clean quiet n warm! All my essentials for a motel room.. Close to St park n Lincoln. n Loon Mtn if u ski. Not this time but will return. Very reasonable price I might add. under $70 with tax? Come on.. where u find that at? anyway. good hiking good room good times!!

The room was advertised with air conditioning. The room got a little muggy so we tried putting it on. Nothing. I unplugged, reset still nothing. We stayed for two nights. The place is quiet and the river is a plus. Another thing I was looking forward to is taking a hot bath salts tubby. Unfortunately, the tub had a ring of scum. It was obvious,they don't scrub the tub. Gross

My husband and I were okay with the fact that the cottage we stayed in was dated, but it seemed to have everything we needed and it felt comfortable, to some extent anyway. The bedroom was too small but it was doable. The couch was completely worn. We initially thought, okay, no problem, we'll be okay here. Boy, were we wrong! WE HAD ALMOST NO HEAT! WE FROZE! There is a space heater in the cabins, and it's worthless. We froze all night. In the morning, all I had to do was turn on the hairdryer and guess what --- we lost power! It tripped the circuit and there was no circuit inside for my husband to fix. So we hurried out of there, because whatever little heat we had, now we had none, no lights, nothing. There are so many motels on this highway. I am positive there are much better motels an

Positive: My room (#7) was a corner room with windows facing two directions. The view from both was of a beautiful brook in the woods. Also, the price was extremely good for this area Negative: Yes. The television wouldn't work, and the air conditioning didn't work. Also, even though this is traditional strip motel, you can't park in front of your room in units 6,7, and 8.

Great location, room 11 is infested with bed bugs. When asking the lady to change rooms we got told we were lying even though you can lift the mattress and see them running around. She came and we showed her and instantly got another room. If you want to look like this then stay here.
