Fountain Inn

Great place to stay if you are working or traveling, has a bar 🍸, close to Taco John's and truck stop, town is small enough that everything is minutes away. Nice island in the middle of the pond.

Stayed here last year on a vacation from Wisconsin was very impressed. Recently went to the bar located here after moving to Newcastle. Loved the atmosphere the bartenders were friendly and prompt. Drinks were very good even by Wisconsin standards. Will return in future

I would say this hotel has an interesting history. You can tell it once had a pool and a restaurant. There is a bar, which was nice to have. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful. Although this hotel was older, and a bit expensive, we are glad we stayed.

We were tired from driving and looking for a pet friendly hotel. This Super8 hotel was the first we found with a vacancy. The room was large, but that was all it had going for it. The bathroom door was blocked from opening all the way. The shower/tub was not clean. Tub water spout was detached from wall. Sink faucet was difficult to turn off. Not worth the rate. Only stayed because we were dead tired. Breakfast area was disgusting. Did not eat there.

Functional is the best description. The room was clean, and an attempt had been made to update it. This is a small town motel where the owner is clearly doing their best with limited resources. This would have even almost resort like back in the 1960s. For the price charged I felt it was an equal value to what was received. I usually stay elsewhere when in town but they had almost doubled their rates to the point they weren't a good value. There is one new hotel in town with a swimming pool. If you want well designed with new amenities then go to the convention center. If you just need something that gets the job done then The Fountain is for you.
