Sundowner Inn

My husband and I spent the night here. It’s a neat little inn with a lot of history. It’s been an inn since 1916. The couple who runs it was very nice and took the time to tell us some of the history. They are in the process of some renovations and the husband does beautiful wood work. It’s got a friendly family vibe and the rooms have all the basic needs. Loved the fresh linen smell of the sheets and the towels are bright white and thick. It’s not a large hotel which is nice too. Learning the history made the stay that much more interesting too! Thank you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an unexpected overnight stay after needing to land nearby for fuel, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place than this small, family-run hotel. The owners—a wonderful husband and wife team—went above and beyond in every way. They picked us up from the airport, offered to drive us to dinner, and brought us back to the airport the next day. Their kindness and hospitality were truly exceptional. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable—everything we needed for a restful night. But what really stood out was how much care and effort the owners put into making us feel welcome. It’s rare to experience this level of generosity and personal service. We’re so grateful for all they did for us and would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone. Supporting this local business

I arrived at 1 AM and was greeted very kindly by the hostess, who was extremely helpful. This Inn is what you would expect of accommodations at a B&B, if that's what you're hoping for. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful, and each room appears to be different. Bed, pillows and sheets were very comfortable. Temp in the room was perfect. The water pressure and water temperature in the shower were easy to adjust and perfect. I was able to snag a one-night stay during Sturgis week, and I couldn't have been happier. I'll be staying here again the next time I'm in the Black Hills area.

When traveling the back highways of the country and you want a place that feels like home the Sundowner Inn is the kind of place you hope to find. A basic little hotel with a 5 star heart. Convenient location, comfy and clean room, nice lobby and porch for hanging out, super friendly hosts, and a satisfying self-serve breakfast. Worth much more than the very affordable price for the night. Thanks so much!

We needed an overnight stopping point between drives. Read the reviews and for the price, was leery but would totally stay there again. Comfortable beds, hot showers, great water pressure. Felt safe, rooms were super quiet.
