First Landing State Park Campground

Fantastic campground area right near the beach. Staff at the visitor center made me feel welcomed and did a great job explaining all of the park rules and accommodations. The campsite itself was spacious and quite scenic. Only docking one star since some sites (including mine) were right by the adjacent highway - making it pretty difficult to get a full night’s sleep in a tent. But overall a very pleasant experience.

The Chesepeak Bay Beach is gorgeous and very easy to access. The campground is spacious. The bathhouses are well kept and do NOT stink!! And real toilets, in the past I have gone to camp sites with hole in the grounds, it was a nice surprise. Overall a very well kept place!

We had a lovely two-night stay at First Landing State Park in Kendall Loop with our 25-foot Class C RV. The campsite was clean, spacious, and had reliable water and electric hookups. The fire ring and picnic table made it easy to enjoy relaxing evenings outdoors. The highlight was the beach! It was just a short walk from the campsite, and we were lucky to catch both a gorgeous sunset and a peaceful sunrise. The beach was quiet and uncrowded, which made the experience even more special. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. The restrooms and showers were clean and had hot water, which was very appreciated in the cool November weather. We loved our stay at this campground. The sites are huge. A lot bigger than you would expect. It's only a few minutes away from Virginia Beach. We will definitely be staying there again!

Great Campground on the BAY, not the ocean, so no big swells or anything. Handicap accessible and boardwalks out the beach with ramps. Clean bathrooms and showers. Very helpful front desk and Rangers. Had a great stay!
