Fairway Inn

I was in town over Memorial Day weekend and planned to stay at my condos on the beach in between guests, but one of my guests asked if my unit was available one more night so I said yes. This put me in a bind, not thinking about the holiday I had to find somewhere to stay for two nights. Everything was booked on the beach so I googled cheap hotels. Needless to say but there are not one cheap hotel on a holiday weekend and this place had one room left. I took it. I paid the marked up price and prayed it was clean. I was checked in by the owner, a very nice older lady, and she directed me to my room. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave in addition to a renovated bathroom and it was clean, the air conditioning was ice cold, and the bed

This is not the Hilton, not even Motel 6, but the room was very clean and so was the linen. The floors are all hardwood and very well maintained. The beds were not so soft, and the pillows are cheap..LOL.. why the 5 star rating? The staff is really, really nice. The owner lives on site and has a 16 old son who helps him in the office, the son is so nice and so professional and the owner is not extremely sociable, but he is very receptive if you ask him for anything for your room. He gave me lots of linen, and his housekeeping staff is really hard working. They were really nice and spoke with guests with respect. I asked for a lot of linen because my kids kept swimming ( in the very clear and clean ) pool, and so I had to replace the linen at least twice a day. The housekeepers never once

Checked in late. Paid by credit card over phone and when arrived was refused check-in. Had to have manager called in and still 15 minute wait because of confusion. Was charged 369 for 3 days, was told 90 and tax per night over phone. When check out it was pouring raining and clerk tried to charge us for water getting on floor when open door to bring our luggage out. Rooms very small. 10 am check out, they were at our door 7 AM telling us to pay or get out. 8 am knock again. Just rude, unprofessional place. Overpriced. Terrible.

The staff were nice and it was a most comfortable stay. The room was clean and big. I love having a fridge and freezer at my disposal as well. Would definitely stay there again.

This was absolutely the worst motel I have ever been to. If I could give Fairway In no stars, I would. I found 2 roaches in the room and nats in the bed. There were gaps in the door and AC unit, so it was incredibly hot. I could hear ever car that passed by on the highway. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, and had to sleep above the sheets with a blanket I bought at a gas station. I was only able to sleep for 3 hours due to the heat and noise. The tub was rusted out and creaked. I went to the manager to let them know and show them the pictures. I got yelled at and told that she is not going to give me a refund because I did not come in at 5am, when I checked in, and waited until 9am to complain about the room. Incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I do not recommend anyone go here. I
