Fairmount House/Free Street Parking/Spacious/Quiet

Having been very lucky to travel over the years, The Fairmount House at The Mann is a top tier Bed & Breakfast which surpasses the ones I've been to in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, and more! The wonder owner does a tremendous job in making guests feel at home whole also offering a substantial amount of opportunities to learn more about the area, the house itself, or many of the other local options to explore the rich history of the area! The room was amazing as well as a comfort( I just had surgery and so happy I was there and not a hospital bed again!). The food and accessibility was great ( I love their Pizza!). And the neighborhood felt gentle and welcoming as the leaves colored and fell on this breezy autumn day. Prices were not only reasonable but well worth the price! An

This place was perfect for what I needed! Was near Philly for work and wanted to stay a night to see the city. This proved nearly impossible with same-day notice and a tight budget + events going on in the city. My mom extensively researched options while I was out and about, and found a cancellation at Yin's place. This home was on a quiet street, felt very safe compared to other areas I had driven through, and as a bonus... has CATS. Yin met me late for checkin (around 10pm), showed me around, and even assisted with carrying a heavy suitcase to the second story. Room is slightly small but perfect for being solo, and this particular room had a shared bathroom. They also had bottled water and a few snacks in the room. With freely available parking on a quiet street, the Fairmount House is an excellent value that has convenient access to Manayunk and Center City by a short drive. Set up much like a boarding house, the rooms have modest amenities, comfortable beds and clean linens. The rooms are up two small flights of steps, for those concerned about accessibility. The rooms do lack TVs, but free Wi-Fi is available. Convenient for those attending concerts at the Mann, and certainly a wonderful alternative to the nearby chain hotels that charge more with added fees.

The owner was incredibly helpful with booking a last minute, late night room for my son when he was stuck with nowhere to stay for the night. She went above and beyond! The location was very clean and nice, and my son and his roommate had a very pleasant and stress-free stay.

I had an awesome stay for four nights. This is a beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. Yin was amazing. I wanted a place close to The Mann. I loved my stay there and I will stay there again in the future. The price was great and the cats are nice. I would definitely recommend this home. Thank you Yin for making my stay very pleasant and comfortable.
