Fairfield Inn Rochester Henrietta/University Area

We stayed one night on a tour of NW NY. Checkin was easy, room was clean-if not big, and breakfast was exactly what we expected! Parking is free and it’s in a great location. Our kids swam in the pool for a bit-it isn’t big or deep but let them burn some energy! No reason not to return if we’re in the area!

I prefer this hotel when traveling for work. The location is very convenient and there are food options nearby with any arrival time. This trip the bathroom was not finished being cleaned. (Possible the cleaning crew was interrupted and forgot to come back as the rest of the room was perfect. ) It was a late checkin but when I mentioned this issue to the front desk associate, she promptly offered to clean it herself or search for another room at a nearby hotel. I did not want to change locations, so she did in fact clean the bathroom for me. Wonderful response and solution.

We traveled with a large group as part of a stay and play tournament. We did not get to choose where we stayed. Place is not set up for a group of people larger than 10. The breakfast area was extremely small. There not enough places for us to sit, let alone, other guest. The breakfast was not appetizing at all. The eggs were watery and bacon was paper thin. There was no fresh fruit. The rooms need a refresh. The beds were so firm and the pillows were so flat that it made sleeping there a misable experience. The room had dirty clothes leftover from another guest in the closet! On a positive note, the staff were extremely helpful and nice. I would not recommend this place.

Bathroom is very small - so small that you had to squeeze next to the toilet to close the door. Our room was nice otherwise. The staff were nice. The breakfast is not great. Rate is very high for what you get.
