Fairfield Inn Dothan

The man who checked us in last night was incredibly helpful and personable. He even mentioned a super nice dog park nearby. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was nicely appointed. The breakfast..meh. No plates. Typical fare, scaled down to the minimum. The dining area sorely needs a reno. The "leather" chairs had delaminated.

First room (312) heat didn’t work, which was resolved by moving rooms. Second room (314) refrigerator was tiny and sink was clogged. Unfortunately, I unclogged the sink myself by removing weave and glue to find that the sink was not properly connected to the drain.|The flooring in the room was brand new but the underlayment made the floor warped with crackling noises when walking in and around the bathroom. I suspect there’s been un-remediated water damage.|Staff was the highlight of the stay, accommodating and kind.|This stay is part of a multi city road trip and sadly this “Marriott” property would rank below the 2 choice hotels properties.

I stayed for three days while working and had a great experience. My room was clean and smelled fresh. I didn’t have to worry about there being anything wrong with my room. I was able to grab breakfast each morning and even though I was down at breakfast right before they closed I was still able to get hot fresh food, which Was appreciated. Overall, had a very nice time with the friendly staff

For an event I was attending in the area. After a long day at the event, I took my shower and got into bed where it did not feel like I was in smooth clean sheets. I removed the flat sheet and comforter where I was astonished to find dog hair. I immediately contacted the front desk. The attendant who looked like it was struggle to get to my room with his cane checked out my concern and brought me clean sheets. The attendant did offer to make my bed, I was not confident that he could make it in a timely manner, but more over he was a male and I was tired and uncomfortable with that situation. Though I was given clean sheets I did not sleep well with the thought of what else wasn’t properly cleaned. The next morning I took my complaint to a woman who said she was the daytime manager. We recently stayed here with our small Chihuahua mix dog. The room was satisfactory. However, we were shocked to be charged $75 for a one night pet fee. Upon further inspection, we noticed the pet fee was no where to be found on their website. We wanted to let this be a warning to any other pet owners.
