Candlewood Suites Dothan by IHG

Spend nearly two months here, and have to say the staff was one of the most pleasant of all the hotels in Dothan. Great conversations every time I found myself in the lobby. Very helpful was on everyone character, excellent selection in the store, room was organized, cleaned regularly and beds were super comfortable. Enjoy every minute, and I wont hesitate next time I'm in town than to stay there. Thank you all.

Im very picky and I gave this hotel 5 stars based on a good experience. Staff was great, room great and conciently located made it a pleasant experience. I would stay again when in the area and for business travelers I highly reccomend it as its affordable and has just about everythign you would need.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - UPDATED AT 9am the next morning. We were charged $175 even though no one was there to check us in for more than 30 minutes. We called this morning to get assistance, Makayla answered the phone, my partner said “Hi we made a reservation last night and when we got there nobody was there to check us in for more than 30 minutes” Makayla said “well we were assisting another guest, you just have to wait”. He responded calmly without raising his voice “It takes you that long? I’m supposed to wait more than 30 minutes? I was ready to go to sleep and I didn’t know if anyone was working. We chose to stay at Candlewood Suutes this time in Dothan, AL during a very difficult time dealing with a family death recently. We chose to stay at Candlewood Suites after a previous hotel chain during this very difficult time gave us a horrible experience for a 2 night stay while while dealing with coming to town to due to a death in our family. We swapped hotels after night 2, and so glad we did. I cannot express the sincerity of every staff member we came into contact with who made sure we were taken care of during this very difficult time at Candlewood Suites. We end up staying twice as long as originally planned due to unforseen circumstances and the staff made sure we were extended out far enough to ensure we had a place to lay our heads af night.
