A-Okay RV Park in Dothan

We enjoyed our stay at A okay . It was the best 20 dollars we've spent. The owner took us on a golf cart ride to see the Longhorns. He sells the best grass fed meat.

After reading reviews, 3 stars at best. Living fairly close, 2.5 hrs, we decided to ride through. Pulled up to an old trailer labeled office,sketchy! I was ready to go. We drove so we went in, not exactly a clean place, a bit run down as you would expect from the appearance. The lady in the office was irritable but warmed up and was nice. We discussed reviews, she explained them off. We made a reservation. Offered to pay in full but told no, concerned because our dates included the Peanut festival and Veterans Day. I did receive an email confirmation of our dates. Fast-forward, 2 days prior to our anticipated arrival, our plans shifted by a day, I called. Just spent several days at AOKay and was impressed with the cleanliness and well run park. They were very friendly even to the point of taking my wife and I out to see the Longhorn herd. They offer long term storage parking for snowbirds as well as overnighters. They are currently working on two new bath houses. We normally look for a KOA if we can't get a SP reservation but they had all the amenities with the exception of a pool. Store laundry propane. Again this will be our 1st choice when are in the area. We have been here since November 9 and will be here for a little while. But this place is very awesome. The owners are very friendly and help out in anyway they can. The areas are clean and the cows are wonderful to look at. This was a great choice for my husband to choose for us to stay. Love it here !

Enjoyed our stay in Dothan. Kept phone number in my phone for next year on the way down. Guy in the office was very helpful. Campsites were super clean and so was the rest of the campground. Found it interesting to have storm shelters available.
