Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Washington, DC/New York Avenue

The Fairfield Inn by Marriott Washington, DC New York Avenue became my home away from home and the staff truly became my extended family during one of the most scariest/stressful time in my life! I selected them because of the discounted rates they provided for guest whose family members were patients at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. I was originally suppose to stay one week (8/25/25-9/1/25) for my brother’s spinal fusion surgery. ||Unfortunately, I had to extend my stay multiple times, Amanda Hoy, General Manager, Victor (diehard Chiefs fan) and Jamie, Front Office Supervisors made sure I was able to flawlessly extend my stay and concentrate on my brother’s recovery. Gaudy, Nia, and Miriam provided an excellent breakfast atmosphere!! Food was fresh and delicious. Staff was keeping up with the demand while keeping everything clean. I would suggest and addition of waffles to the delicious spread. The oatmeal stations was unexpected and beautifully executed. Room was pretty ok. They could definitely do with updating the tubs in the bathrooms.... Definitely one of the nicer stays near the Echostage area. Edit: THEY LITERALLY BROUGHT A WAFFLE STATION OUT THE SECOND DAY. The staff is truly too kind they even made the waffle for us to keep everything clean. Absolutely incredible!!! Clearly super responsive. Everyone deserves a raise.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was okay, and the staff was refilling items quickly. Location is not great if you plan to buy groceries or plan to use public transport otherwise, okay. We enjoyed our 3 days' stay here.

Great staff and rooms were up to Marriott standards- clean and well kept. The smell of weed throughout the hotel was overwhelming. We stayed on the 2nd floor and the smell permeated the hallway and came into our room. Smoke-free environment means free of all smoking. Do better.

From beginning to end, this Fairfield hotel offered fantastic service! We didn’t even have a reservation and they took us in from the bitter windy cold. We originally were going to stay at Hyatt Place, but they had no hot water, so we looked elsewhere. My family and I are so glad we did. Marriott hotels have never let us down.
