Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Stroudsburg Bartonsville/Poconos

Don’t get me wrong — the hotel itself is beautiful. The property is clean, well-maintained, and exactly what you’d expect from a Fairfield Inn. Unfortunately, the customer service experience did not match the quality of the hotel. We booked our stay months in advance and checked in as planned, but a winter storm warning forecasting 12–24 inches of snow was issued during our stay. For safety reasons, we decided to depart early rather than risk being stranded. We proactively spoke with the front desk, fully understanding we had booked a non-refundable rate and not asking for a refund — only whether there was any flexibility with goodwill points for the unused night. We were told there was nothing the property could do and advised to contact customer service, who in turn stated the decision

My only complaint is that the king bed was very uncomfortable! Because the bed was hard and the pillow weren't fluffy, each morning I woke up to pain in my shoulders and hips because I'm a side-sleeper. Also, as a suggestion, add juice to your breakfast. It would have been very nice to have OJ, apple and cranberry juice available.

My in laws were staying in the hotel due to a house fire. They got put in the hotel through the insurance housing vendor. Most of the staff were fantastic and kind. However on Jan 2nd we were all in the common area playing dominoes and talking. We have done this every night with no issue as we don't make a lot of noise or get rowdy. The front desk staff Amber and Sydney shut the lights out in the common area while we were mid game. I then went up to ask them to turn the lights back on, thinking they didn't see us in the corner. They both gave me attitude and said " I guess I can turn them on for another half hour. It's quiet time and they need to be off." I said we were unaware of this as we did it every night. They turned the lights back on reluctantly and then proceeded to go into the ba

I would prefer to give a zero but not possible. Directions that link to your phone‘s app are not correct. Used iPhone maps and Waze. Called and received very little help. Pool water is cloudy. Gross. Got here at 9pm and checking out at 11 am tomorrow. I asked to not charge me for incidentals. We knew we would not be leaving the room. What would we charge a bag of potato chips??? Then I was asked to put my card in reader. I knew the room was paid for so I asked why. I was told for incidentals. So they ignored my request. I explained I didn’t want it. The male at the front desk said it is a no go to not charge for incidentals. Not the way to speak to a guest. also, ridiculous to charge for incidentals. Very, very clean property. My Mom was admitted to the hospital from ER at St Lukes, which is literally across Rte 611. It was 10pm, I live out of state was exhausted and needed a room. I was met with genuine friendliness and kindness at the front desk. She made everything so easy for me! I also did enjoy the free bfast in the AM before getting myself back across to the hospital. Only small thing is that the drapes in the rooms dont close, I guess they save $$ in drape material? So if you need darkness bring eye cover to sleep late.
