Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Sidney

Tried this hotel on a recent trip. All in all it was a pleasant stay. I usually stay at a different hotel in sidney but am glad I tried the Fairfield. First let me say this hotel was quiet. This is not the case for many of the hotels in sidney seeing how it is right off the interstate. This is right there with the rest but far enough back and turned so it is not noisy. I saw some reviews complaining about dust. It the room it was perfectly clean. I even took a towel and ran it over some of the surfaces and it came back clean. The place i did see dust was in the corners in the hallway. It looks like someone vacuums but doesn't take the time to wand the corners where the vacuum doesn't reach. This is the second time we’ve stayed in this hotel on different times of the year. But each time, we had issues with NO local channels and NO internet in our rooms; we can’t even make our next Marriott hotel reservations for the next stop. They gave same reason of “recent storms have come through, and they can’t help, at all”. This time, we spoke to the manager, Cattrina, and was left feeling like she couldn’t care less about the issues; and I am a Platinum member! The general impression we were left with is it’s all corporate fault. No amount of complaining will yield results. NEVER, EVER STAYING THERE AGAIN!!!

Positive: We normally stay at Fairfield hotels because of the quality - but this one failed miserably. Negative: The hotel did not have internet available. We were given a room that had a very noisy air conditioner. Upon notifying the clerk, we were moved to another room that also had an air conditioner with a high pitched squeal and therefore did not sleep well

They dont keep up on the breakfast. I went to the front desk and told them they were out of Bacon, biscuits, and sausage. The woman at the front desk said "we only have one person doing breakfast and it is all done in one microwave" We stayed there and not the Comfort Inn because they said they had the breakfast. We waited 15 minutes and still no sausage, busicuts or Bacon. They wouldnt even give us a discount for the issue. I bought my family breakfast at a gas station 20 miles down the interstate. The biggest problem is we were traveling 10 hours that day to get home from vacation. This issue added 15 min at the hotel and then an additional stop that added 30 min. So we lost 45 min and 42.00 for the gas station breakfast. I will not ever stay there again. The Comfort inn is closer to the

Stopped last minute and they were able to accommodate our family of 5 quickly. Super friendly front desk staff and clean property. Appeared to be the newest hotel in the area!
