Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Santa Maria

This is the worst place. I been to this hotel 3 times and it’s my last time. Room 209. I been to many many hotels but this one I can’t sleep. The people above our floor keep running and stomping and I called front desk and these people keep being loud at 11pm. I understand and considerate people walking but it’s literally heavy stomps. Paid $460 for two nights and I can’t sleep and have work. I called front desk twice to please help reduce the sound and been hearing it since 8pm. I get it, people move and have stuff but 11pm.. Worse service, worst room and can hear everything. For $100 more, I would have pay for other hotels with better rooms. And this is coming from somebody that never does reviews.

I stayed here recently for a business trip. It was my first time in Santa Maria and comparing against motels and hotels along the main strip, this hotel does look better on the outside than most. Inside, the lobby and common areas look okay and clean, very decent.|Negatives:|- the check in rep was very indifferent and robotic. He didn't care about service whatsoever.|- the room I got was decently clean. Bed was super lumpy and tough to sleep on.|- Toilet in the restroom barely flushed. It was like its total strength was just enough to move the water out, any more would've overwhelmed the toilet.|- Shower water pressure was non existent and terrible.||Everyone I met in Santa Maria was incredibly nice except for the hotel employees. I will not be re-visiting Santa Maria again unless required

Positive: Location Negative: The power was shut off for 9 hours on our second night and left with no air and no open windows.

The hotel was in very good shape inside and out. The room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was cozy. My room faced the street, which made it a little bit noisy until traffic calmed at night, but not so much as to be a problem. The availability of both fast and L2 EV charging was very much appreciated (I used it both nights with our rental car). The app was easy to download and use and the electricity rate was reasonable.

I think I must have had the same room as another reviewer because my ac cover also fell off lol. Other than that scaring me awake, the stay was excellent. I stayed for one night in a king room. It was the cleanest Marriott I have visited in years, you could tell the staff really care. I do distinguish between wear and tear and dirtiness in my ratings, and don't penalize for normal things....it is a Fairfield. The hotel was sold out. But it was very quiet, even being near the elevators. If anything, my biggest complaint was how slow the elevators were. I used the stairs frequently. Breakfast was typical. Free coffee always good. Room has a microwave so I brought my own meals. The mini fridges with timers don't really keep anything cold but there is an ice machine and I brought ziplocks to u
